The LKN Krakens
The LKN Krakens is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to the development of dedicated athletes in Fastpitch Softball. We focus on imparting fundamental skills, enhancing game-day intelligence, and fostering mental resilience, all while instilling essential life lessons. Our dedicated volunteers emphasize the values of integrity, diligence, sportsmanship, and collaboration through outstanding leadership, constructive coaching, and effective communication. Our aim is to create a fun, healthy, and safe environment where players can learn and excel in softball. We highlight the significance of respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials alike. Beyond teaching the technical aspects of the game, we are devoted to nurturing life skills and cultivating enduring friendships. Our ultimate aspiration is for every player to cherish their experience and return to the Krakens year after year.

Formation of the LKN Krakens
The LKN Krakens were established in May 2020 by Karen Sherard, the owner of LKN Pitching. Our founder envisioned creating a travel softball organization that prioritizes sportsmanship, fundamental skills, and athletic growth, while fostering close-knit, family-like relationships among players. We aspire to build a community where families feel supported in nurturing the values of home through positive reinforcement, mental development, and an environment that empowers athletes to pursue life-changing goals that are essential in today’s youth sports landscape. Upholding our founder's vision, we maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, poor sportsmanship, and any behavior that undermines our mission. While many can start a travel softball team, the LKN Krakens excel in shaping athletes who are equipped to navigate life's challenges.
